Deng Lin
Deng Lin  (1941 —         )
Deng Lin was born in 1941 in Shexian County, Hebei Province.  She is a daughter of Deng Xiaoping. In 1967 Deng Lin graduated from the Bird-and-Flower Discipline of the Department of Traditional Chinese Painting of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing. She is an Associate Research Fellow and Professional Painter of the Academy of Chinese Painting, Beijing.  She is also President of the Society for Exchange in the Fine Arts of the Orient, and a member of the Chinese Artists' Association. In the 1980's she participated in many international exhibitions and toured Paris, Hong Kong, Beijing, New York City, Toronto and Japan. In October of 1988, Hefner Galleries, New York, presented her first U.S. exhibition, some of which was also shown in Washington, D.C. Deng Lin has had numerous books published on her works. Today, she maintains an energetic exhibition schedule. She is recognized as one of the leading Chinese contemporary brush painters.
