Long Rui
Long Rui  (1946 —         )
Long Rui was born in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province in 1996. He graduated from the Discipline of Commercial Art of the Beijing School of Arts and Crafts. In 1981 Long completed his graduate studies in the Landscape Department of Traditional Chinese Painting in the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing.  He researched in China's traditional water-and-ink landscapes under the supervision of famous painters such as LIan Shunian, Tao Yiqing, and Zhang Ting. Long Rui is an Associate Research Fellow and Professional Painter of the Academy of Chinese Painting, Beijing; a Council Member of the Society for Exchange in the Fine Arts of the Orient; Vice-President of the Beijing Association of Young Painters; and a Member of the Chinese Artists' Association. Between 1985-1988, Long Rui participated in numerous exhibitions and toured Paris, Hong Kong, Beijing, London, Toronto and Kyoto. He has had a book of his works published.
